The cottage provides comfortable living for two – a standard French double bed, tables and chairs, a new corner kitchen, with gas cooker, microwave and frig and a small utility room with washing machine and an outside barbeque. The bathroom has basin, WC and shower. The TV/VCR receives Sky News and CNN and the free-to-air French programs. Linens other than swimming towels are provided, and all utilities are included.
Salernes is a typical Provençale village, centuries old with a pleasant shaded square, local shops, restaurants and other services. Provence tiles and pottery are made here. The village has many artisan workshops and a twice-weekly market.
The large and outstandingly beautiful Lac Ste Croix and the entrance to the Gorges de Verdon are 30 minutes away. There are no official ‘plages naturistes’ on the lake, but it is not difficult to find secluded coves where you can establish your own dress code.
